Operational changes:
To understand the power of the thread of JFil®
and MiniJFil®
stents
Updated:
July 2017
The ureter allows
the flow of urine from the kidney to the bladder. Sometimes, a stone or
a tumor obstructs the ureter. To bypass the obstruction and protect the
kidney, we insert a double-pigtail stent in the ureter. But, international
medical studies estimate that 80% of patients complain of irritating symptoms
[références
1-5]. Confronted daily with the suffering
of our patients, I developed a new ureteral stent [références
6-11].
This short film (November
2015) aim to explain operational changes with this innovation.
Operational changes
by using JFil® and MiniJFil® (5' 18").
To date, we have the experience
of nearly 700 JFil® and MiniJFil®. The MiniJFil® stent is a
revolution for the stone treatment. It allows dilatation of the ureter,
removing fragments often painless, and treatment of large stones. Undoubtedly,
the stent tolerance and the clearance of stone are improved with MiniJFil®.
